On Saturday, March 12th, Leah Boresow will be teaching a Latin Jazz workshop for the American College Dance Association (ACDA) Southeastern Conference. The class will take place at the Schwartz Theater Lab on Emory University's Campus from 9-10:30 am on Saturday. Leah is so excited and grateful to be instructing at a conference that she herself participated in when she was in university, and can't wait to introduce Latin Jazz to some wonderful dancers of today and tomorrow!
Class Description: Latin Jazz offers a blend of Latin dance and contemporary jazz for dancers of all levels and experience. Dancers will experience an introduction to some of the most prominent Latin dances, such as cha cha, samba, and salsa, combined with jazz fundamentals to add some sass and flare to your dancing. The class will consist of a warm up, exercises, and Latin jazz choreography. Leah brings her extensive knowledge of Latin dancing and contemporary jazz dance foundations to this class, in order to give dancers an experience of Latin rhythms and movements mixed with fun and challenging jazz choreography.
